Archetypes are a very basic example of a certain person or thing and they appear in The Lion king. Archetypes are usually the main characters and in this movie the main characters do prove to be archetypal. Scar is clearly the villain because of his malice towards Simba and the sabotage he took on his own brother. Simba was the kid running away from his problems clearly because he ran away after his father was dead and he didn't know how to deal with it. The archetypal character that was my favorite though was Muffasa who was the leader.
Muffasa was an archetypal character because he was clearly the leader without a doubt. Muffasa was respected by every specimen of animal which speaks loudly for a character. He also saved his son from the hyenas and from a raging stampede. He shows bravery and the respect others have for him shows how much of a leader he is.
